The Independence 1911 is a testament to Kimber’s patriotism and is part of an extremely limited run of just 1776 units. What sets the Independence apart from Kimber’s other 1911s is a patent-pending and proprietary compensator that re-directs gasses upwards to reduce muzzle rise and recoil. The compensator uses a bushing mount and doesn’t require special tools for takedown. The Independence 1911’s slide is adorned with a custom U.S. flag engraving along with custom racing-style rear serrations that mimic the movement of the flag engraving when the slide is moving. Other features of the Independence 1911 include custom Lok G-10 U.S. flag themed grips, and a special serial number that ranges from USA000 to USA1776.
